The defending champions have started to click and registered their third win in a row while MI New York are back to losing ways. That's all from this encounter. There's a double-header coming up. Join us for those games. Until next time, goodbye and stay safe..
Glenn Maxwell: Certainly am (happy). Bit got closer than we would have liked at the back end.
Mitchell Owen | Player of the Match: Pretty simple. Pretty similar to what I have been doing every game - get us off to a good start and take the pressure off the middle order. Ultimately I want to be batting the whole innings but sometimes it doesn't happen.
Nicholas Pooran: I think that was a good score. 188 you are right in the game, we had to control the powerplay, they came out aggressive and we picked up the wickets too late. We all know in a big chase when you get off to a good start it is difficult to pull back. But we came back into the game nicely. I wouldn't say it (the pitch) got harder, they bowled well - bowled fuller on one side and shorter on the other side. During that partnership between myself and Quinny, I could have been braver as well, got out at the wrong time and 10-15 would have made a difference. We have been batting well, bowling well in patches, we will rectify that, it is important that we don't lose games by a big margin in such tournaments. We are not frustrated and I have no doubt in my mind that in the coming games the result will be in our favour.
22:41 Local Time, 03:41 GMT, 09:11 IST: Washington Freedom huffed and puffed but managed to get over the line. They were always ahead of the asking rate but kept losing wickets which ensured MI New York remained in the contest.

Pollard to Chapman, 1 run, Washington Freedom win by 2 wickets. The field was up to prevent the single but there's a fumble. Off-pace delivery,
19.1
Pollard to Chapman, 2 runs, slower and short of length, Chapman slaps it in front of square and the deep extra cover fielder gets across, couple added and the scores are level now
Kieron Pollard [1.0-0-11-0] is back into the attack
Ian Holland, right handed bat, comes to the crease
3 needed off the final over. Pollard is going to bowl. Good thing for WAF is that Chapman is on strike.
