A left-arm wrist-spinner possessing an unorthodox run-up and delivery stride, Patrick Dooley was first part of the Brisbane Heat in the BBL during the 2021/22 season before moving to the Hobart Hurricanes in the following year. His sister, Josie Dooley, is also a cricketer and has played for the Melbourne Renegades in the WBBL.
