Biography
A tall right-arm pace from Delhi, Parvinder Awana made his first-class debut at the age of 21. He impressed everyone with his sharp pace and with the ability to move the ball off the pitch. Awana made his IPL debut in 2012 with Kings XI Punjab. He bowled very well throughout the season and ended IPL-5 as Punjab's leading wicket taker despite playing lesser games than the likes of Piyush Chawla and Azhar Mahmood.
This forced the national selectors to rope him into the Indian squad and he made his international debut in a T20I against England the same year in December. He played both the games in the 2-match T20I series but he did not justify his selection and he was not preferred for national duty again.
He returned to the domestic circuit before turning up for KXIP again for IPL-7. However, he was not that effective and was not a regular in the side.
