Chirag Gandhi is an aggressive right-hander stroke-maker who plays for the Gujarat state team in the Indian domestic fold. He made his domestic limited-overs debut in 2011 at the age of 21, and made his first-class debut in a game against Mumbai in the Ranji trophy that trickled over from December 2012 into January 2013. Gandhi has largely underperformed in the limited-overs formats with the bat, and has fared better in the longer format, but still lacks consistency, averaging just 37 in his 21 matches over the last 6 years. Despite making his maiden first-class hundred in the 2017 Ranji trophy, he was not picked for the subsequent season and decided to garner all his attention to limited-overs cricket. Despite several years in the circuit, he has failed to string together too many scores of note, with an ordinary Syed Mushtaq Ali season in 2019, with just one score of above fifty (68*) against Tamil Nadu.
