Biography
A left-arm spinner who believes in the old-fashion basics of slow bowling, Mayank Dagar was one of the promising talents of India's U19 World Cup in 2016. Consequently, domestic cricket beckoned and he was picked up by Himachal Pradesh. Still early days in his career but Dagar has shown that he does have a good skill set and a wily temperament to boot. A surprising IPL contract with Kings XI Punjab landed at the 2018 auctions and the young man hopes that this is a phase that will help to fast-track his career forward. Not many know that Dagar is the nephew of the unimitable strokemaker Virender Sehwag. Although not a batsman like his uncle, Dagar does have a strong head on his shoulders and working together in the IPL will definitely help the young man's cause.
