Leigh Kasperek was born in Edinburgh, Midlothia. She has also represented Scotland before moving to New Zealand. Kasperek has played for a lot of teams in a small career. In the New Zealand domestic circuit itself, Kasperek started off with Wellington before moving to Otago Sparks, she has also turned up for Western Australia.
A right-arm off-break bowler and right-hand middle-order batter, Kasperek made her White Ferns debut in an One-Day International (ODI) ini 2015 on their tour of India. She followed it up by bagging her maiden Twenty20 cap.
Her notable performances have come against the Australians. Having played a key role in the T20 series win against the arch-rivals in early 2016, Kasperek picked up 4 for 7 in the World T20 encounter, which helped New Zealand beat the eventual runner's up in their league game.
Kasperek has an astonishing T20 record compared to her ODI record, but she is on the plane to England as part of the 15-member squad to take part in the 2017 World Cup. Guess she might play the game against Australia.
