Biography

A bespectacled, lanky southpaw from Karachi who often doubles up as a wicketkeeper, Muneeba Ali has for long been backed as a promising talent waiting to come good. An active participant in team meetings - full of ideas and opinions - Muneeba made her debut as a 19-year-old in 2016. However, opportunities have been inconsistent, and of what came her way, she has struggled to make an impression. Five years into international cricket, she cracked her maiden half-century against West Indies in 2021 and her career started to take an upswing under the tenure of David Hemp. A good timer of the ball, her attempts to get more power into her shots have often led to her downfall after getting her eye in.
