Jeremiah Louis is a right-arm pace bowler, who focuses on getting the cricket ball to deviate off the seam and occasionally in the air. He plays for the Leeward Islands in the domestic circuit where he started off playing in 2014/15.
A nine-wicket haul against Barbados in the four-day competition, including a 6/69 made the selectors take notice Louis as he went on to score his first fifty in the same match. The fast bowling all-rounder had a good season of 2017/2018 and was rewarded with a place in the Windies A team for a home series against England Lions.
Possessing a good variety of cutters and other variations, as well as an astute mind to read the situation of the game, Louis was expected to be a no-brainer for T20 cricket, but has unfortunately got the chance to play very little cricket for the St. Kitts franchise in the CPL, who roped him in for the 2016 edition, and in the Global T20 league in Canada, where he played for the CWI-B side. With the chance to prove himself in the 2018 edition of the CPL, he will be looking for a chance to prove himself and cement his spot in the franchise’s first-choice XI.
