Player of Match: Nicholas Pooran

TKR are off the mark in their first game. The margin of win was solid as well. The patriots have a win and a loss to their credit. Pooran just took it away with his explosive game. Once they had to chase 251, their chances was always going to be lesser. And players like Akeal Hosein, Dre Russ and Tim David are on the bench for the TKR team. They will be very tough to beat for sure. Well, that remains to be seen. For now, we will take your leave. Bye bye...
Kieron Pollard: I just thought the way we executed our skills was pleasing. Fantastic. Pooran is a world class player. We are not surprised how he played. He shepherded Carty really well. He executed his plans well. Was a good batting track. We were looking for a couple of wickets in the powerplay. Our world class spinners could contain the batting and we planned accordingly. Akeal didn't play. Edwards had baptism by fire as he was up against experienced guys. Getting two points on the road is important.
Andre Fletcher: Execution with the ball wasn't that well. We knew there was wind factor. Not taking away the way how Pooran played. He played well. He took the game away from us. We lost but we had some positives as well. Finding ways to contain him. Carty played a good supporting role. We had some dropped chances. When we went out, I told the guys they did it and we can as well. Unfortunately we didn't get over the line. We all know what Louis can do. He was a little nervous. I told him to entertain the people. He played a fantastic knock. I am happy for him.
Nicholas Pooran, Player of the Match: Definitely good innings. Was a small boundary and there was wind factor. It is chaseable here. The Patriots have a dangerous batting line up. 250 on that track gave us a chance. The batters coming here find it favourable. The start was brilliant. I tried to play the match ups keeping the wind factor in mind. Was trying to take it as deep as possible. On a small ground, the batters can get carried away. Playing T20 cricket for a long time now. I need to put the work in. I want to win games and tournaments. I want to win the CPL. I want to take responsibility.
22:46 Local Time, 02:46 GMT, 08:16 IST: TKR start with a win. They will be elated. 251 was always going to be too much. The surface didn't have any demons. The batters bossed the proceedings. But Narine and co. did a splendid job.
