That's all from today's CPL clash folks! We'll be back tomorrow as Antigua and Barbuda Falcons lock horns with Trinbago Knight Riders. Will the Falcons manage to clinch their first win, or will they lose again? Only time will tell. For now, it's a goodbye from our side. Ciao!
Imran Tahir: I can expect anything from the team we have, that's the believe we have. We had to put the runs on the board and put them under pressure. Gurbaz showed his skills. Hetmyer and Keemo played well too. We just tried to put them under pressure like I said. Nothing you can do if the batter is playing so well. As a bowling unit we had to take wickets. They were way above the required run rate, but we came back and took wickets. That gave us the momentum. We were not going to go through the motions. I am just happy with the way we bowled on this wicket. Very pleased that everyone did their job. I think as a leader everyone looks up to you. I wanted to bowl the difficult overs, I wanted to lead from the front. The plan worked, Motie also bowled unbelievably well. He has been bowling well for us since a couple of years.
Andre Fletcher: It was tough. Playing at home ground, knowing the conditions, bowling like this is not acceptable, looks like you are playing school cricket. Need to execute our plans as a bowling unit. Can't set fields when you leak runs on both the sides. Their batters executed plans against our bowlers. The wicket is good for batting first and second, what plays a big role is who executes well. When I brought back Nortje and got a wicket, I remember telling the boys that we are in the game if we keep them down to 220, but again a few chances were dropped. We lost it when Sherfane got out, I was thinking they had the two Sinclairs (Kevin and Junior) to come up which was my match-up. Sherfane played a good cameo. While chasing such a big total, you need two batters to play well. As a captain I can't drop my head, need to make sure we keep going on. We are playing for the people, we are playing for the franchise, we have to keep playing. Maybe I should continue batting like this.
Shimron Hetmyer | Player of the Match: It was an innings of two halves, we (along with Gurbaz) were going good. I just had to pull back after the wickets (of Gurbaz and Azam Khan), there was a bit of tiredness later. I was just to play the ball on its merit. Didn't try to do anything different. There have been a lot of runs scored here before, we just had to be as clear as possible. On this ground, we just need to execute our plans. The bowlers had to be slightly wide outside off.. I am hungry this year, just trying hard in the nets. That's mainly how I go about it. It was difficult to cut the ball for six.
