Complete Guyana Amazon Warriors won by 6 wkts

Player of Match: Gudakesh Motie

We are done with game 10 of the CPL. Early trends show, Guyana will be the team to beat. Today was a contest between two sides who came in undefeated but the Kings came a cropper against a spirited Guyana unit. The Warriors had everything clicking for them, even the toss. The moist conditions favoured them and they made good use of bowling first. The bowlers set up the game and the batters obliged with some breathtaking display at the top. That's it for the day. We will be back soon with more action from the Caribbean! Bye bye...
Imran Tahir: I am just happy that it came out nicely. Everyone did their job. First the seamers. Then Motie came in. Nice to get the results in our favour. We have a week off and we deserve this. We will chill. Take a few days off and then get back at it again. We have been grateful to our fans. Their support is important. Thank you very much for the support.
Faf du Plessis: Extremely disappointing. It was a bit tacky. Needed to assess the conditions and play accordingly. The score was well under par. It was always tough to defend 100. It is about assessing the conditions for me. The wicket was a little bit under the covers. There was some nip in the first few overs. We have two tough games in a row. We will look at our team combinations. Most of the wickets that we lost were our batters giving it away.
Gudakesh Motie | Player of the Match - I knew I could run before he could come back (on the run-out). It was a good batting wicket, the outfield was wet and was difficult to keep the ball dry. I'm happy with the way I'm bowling right now, have put in the hard work and getting success. He is bowling really well, putting the ball in the right area and getting turn from the wicket (on Imran Tahir).
21:36 Local Time, 01:36 GMT, 07:06 IST: Guyana Warriors have smashed the Kings today. The right word is pulverized. First with the ball as they skitled them out for exactly a 100 runs. Then Gurbaz led the batting charts as they went hell for leather and finished off the job in 10 overs. The boundary(mostly six) hitting festival lasted few minutes as Guyana wanted to boost their NRR. None of the bowlers could contain the Guyana batters as they had a definite plan. It seeemed they were batting on a featherbed as compared to the Kings. Guyana have picked up three wins from three games now. They are sole leaders on the table now. They look dangerous thanks to the quality of the batting that they have got. It would be interesting to see how teams size them up from here on. The Kings hadn't lost one prior to this one. But they would want to bounce back quickly.

Noor Ahmad to Hetmyer, 2 runs, and that's all over! Guyana win with 10 overs to spare. They have cantered home. Hetmyer dragged it from well outside off and sent it wide of long-on. The Big Jo got to the ball but Paul decided to take on his arm. The couple was nabbed. Guyana have been relentless...
9.5
Noor Ahmad to Keemo Paul, 1 run, two needed now. Was on the sticks, a googly, Keemo Paul stayed back and played it against the turn on to the on-side for a single
9.4
Noor Ahmad to Keemo Paul, no run, goes back and punches the ball down to point
Keemo Paul, right handed bat, comes to the crease

Noor Ahmad to Shai Hope, out Caught by Alzarri Joseph!! Slowed it down, was bowled at almost 83 clicks. Shai Hope looked to slam it but ended up slicing it. The man at long-off made no mistakes. Easy take for him. Third wicket for Noor Ahmad. He has been easily their best bowler. That was a tossed up delivery and spun away enough to induce the mistimed shot. Shai Hope c Alzarri Joseph b Noor Ahmad 11(12) [6s-1]
Noor Ahmad to Shai Hope, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
9.2
Noor Ahmad to Shai Hope, no run, backs away and punches the 94.7 kph delivery and finds the man at cover. Good stop by the fielder
9.1
Noor Ahmad to Shai Hope, no run, short, spinning away at 90.7 clicks and Shai Hope misses the slash outside off
8.6
Alzarri Joseph to Hetmyer, SIX, and muscled! That's a huge blow. I am not sure the Kings batted on this deck. Guyana have made batting look very easy. The batter backed away a little and smoked it over long-on. That went long...only 3 needed now
8.5
Alzarri Joseph to Hetmyer, no run, excellent over so far from Alzarri Joseph. Not giving up this easily. Hetmyer backed away and punched it back to the bowler. The bowler grabs the ball and throws it down to the keeper and then a stare
Shimron Hetmyer, left handed bat, comes to the crease
8.4
Alzarri Joseph to Azam Khan, out Caught by Charles!! Azam goes. The short ball does the trick. Was a short ball, angled in, Azam Khan backed away and steered it down to the man at third man. Azam misses out again. He looked disconcerted against the short ball and falls prey to it. Third one down. Again won' change the fate of the game but delays the inevitable. Azam Khan c Charles b Alzarri Joseph 0(4)
Alzarri Joseph to Azam Khan, THATS OUT!! Caught!!
8.3
Alzarri Joseph to Azam Khan, no run, short, outside off, Azam Khan looks to throw his bat at it and misses as he looked towards the square leg umpire after wafting at it
8.2
Alzarri Joseph to Azam Khan, no run, and a dot! Azam ducked under that. Quick short ball and then a stare as the batter ducked under it
