Keiron Pollard: The team did that, I didn’t have anything to do with it. Total team effort. When some guys don’t do the job, the others step in. Akeal and Terrance had an opportunity to finish the game in Antigua and they got another one tonight and did the job. We were really good in the field tonight. To restrict them to 157, would take it 10 out of 10 times. Akeal showed his quality and was backed up by the other spinners. There’s always room for improvement, Shaq and Carty in the middle overs absorbed pressure and that was an improvement. Always things to look at and we chat in the dressing room about getting better. Bodes well for the team, very good game of cricket.

Rovman Powell: Credit to the boys, they fought till the end. After losing two wickets early they showed courage. We did well as a bowling group, probably 10-15 runs short. Bright spot is our bowling, Trinidad is a world class team. To control them with a wet ball and wet outfield is a commendable thing. It was about getting through their key spinners. It was a blunder on the umpire’s part, it was only 4 overs old and there wasn’t any dew so it was a blunder for them to change the ball. We played with courage tonight. It’s about forgetting what happened tonight and looking forward to tomorrow.

Akeal Hosein | Player of the match: We were just trying to stay calm, similar situation to Antigua where we didn’t win. The belief was there. The trophy has eluded us for a couple of years but we’re working really hard, all hands on deck, we don’t want to leave it for anyone else. Nice to see all the youngsters stepping up as well and helping out the experienced guys.
